Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Surgical ICU position requiring a compact or OH license, ICU background, and proficiency with Epic.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Surgical ICU within an oncology-focused hospital setting
• Treats adult patients with complex diagnoses including sepsis, shock states, stroke, ARDS, and post-craniotomy
• Handles advanced procedures such as external ventricular drain management, ICP monitoring, massive transfusion protocol, CRRT, and ventilator support
• Rotating day and night shifts with 3x12 hour scheduling
• Uses Epic for electronic medical records; prior experience with Epic is required
• Primary responsibilities include the care of critically ill adult oncology and surgical patients
• Must be skilled in managing ventilators, vasopressors, tracheostomies, and complex monitoring systems
• Team-based environment with support from multi-disciplinary staff
• This position requires attention to detail in managing advanced life support procedures and continuous critical assessments

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Oncology experience preferred but not required
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this assignment
