Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with circulating and scrubbing experience, as well as an active GA or compact license.

Responsibilities

• Main operating room environment handling general, neuro, spine, ortho, robotics, urology, vascular, and colorectal cases
• Adult to geriatric patient population
• Sixteen-room OR with an average daily census of 35
• Uses Epic EMR, Pyxis medication system, and two Davinci XI robots
• Day shift schedule: four 10-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Call required: 7-8 calls in a 6-week period, plus 1 weekend call and 1-2 weekend shifts
• Expectation to work 2-3 weekend shifts per contract period
• Rare floating to other units
• Scrub attire is provided by the facility
• Candidates must work assigned major holidays per contract guidelines
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off allowed; no requests during the first week or during Spring Break (April 6-12)
• Full compliance with onboarding required for timely start; potential 2-week pushback if not complete
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Travel pairs cannot be assigned to the same shift in the same unit
• No blocked scheduling allowed
• Returning travelers must have been away from all Piedmont facilities for at least one year or have completed a successful assignment at a non-Piedmont facility

Requirements

• Active GA RN or compact RN license required upon start
• Minimum of 1 year operating room RN experience
• Circulating and scrubbing experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Epic EMR and experience with robotics systems preferred
