Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Mammography Technologist with ARRT certification and clinical competence in mammography for a full-time day shift assignment.

Responsibilities

• Position based in a hospital mammography unit
• Day shifts, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• No on-call or weekend requirements
• Floating to other units or facilities may be required at manager's request
• 75 mile radius rule applies; local candidates accepted at local rate
• Bachelor’s degree and three or more years of experience preferred
• Agency staff may be asked to float between units or facilities
• Initial Illinois IEMA license will be assisted if not already held and typically takes about one week to obtain
• All requests for time off must be disclosed up front for consideration
• Vaccination status must be provided
• Responsible for performing mammographic procedures in accordance with facility and regulatory standards

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited hospital-based two-year Radiologic Technology program or an Associate’s Degree in Radiology Technology
• ARRT registered in Radiography (ARRT)(R)
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Demonstrated clinical and technical competency in Mammography to meet MQSA requirements
• Illinois license in hand required for consideration
• License required if applicable
• Two recent references, including one from a supervisor, manager, or charge RN within the last year
