Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an overnight MRI Technologist with ARRT (R)(MR) certification and at least 2 years of experience for a hospital-based position.
Responsibilities
- Hospital-based MRI-only role with no X-ray responsibilities
- Works in the MRI department using Siemens Skyra 3T, Siemens Sola 1.5T, and GE Signa HDx 1.5T scanners
- Night shift, 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM, Monday through Friday
- 13-week contract assignment
- Uses Epic for charting, with online Epic Radiology MT training provided on unit
- Scrub color is grey
- May float with staff per hospital policy
- MRI technologists focus on performing hospital-based MRI procedures without involvement in X-ray duties
- All travelers must adhere to smoke- and nicotine-free policies
- Module-based orientation is required, with completion tracked by the training team
- Religious or medical exemption requests for vaccines must comply with CMS and facility guidelines
- Holiday coverage may be required during the assignment
- If previously employed by the hospital, candidates must wait one year before returning as a traveler
- Keep requests for time off to a minimum; all RTO must be approved prior to assignment
- First-time travelers are eligible for consideration
Requirements
- ARRT (R)(MR) certification required
- Minimum 2 years of MRI technologist experience
- Must have active VA license in hand at time of consideration or provide proof of VA license application and follow temporary process as applicable
- Epic charting experience required; attendance at Epic class or testing out required
- Flu vaccine required during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31)
- COVID vaccination or approved exemption required
- Must be able to provide government-issued photo ID and Social Security card
