Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Echo Technologist with at least 2 years of cardiac experience in a large hospital and RDCS certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in a large hospital setting as an Echo Technologist
• Adult patient population, including critically ill and injured patients
• Day shifts, 8 hours per shift, with possible start times at 6:30, 6:45, or 7:30 AM, Monday through Friday
• Weekend shifts may be requested as needed
• Must be able to recognize and manage medical emergencies and report equipment malfunctions
• Performs basic clerical duties as needed
• Applicants must be willing to begin assignment within 3 weeks or less
• COVID-19 vaccination required unless a documented medical or religious exemption is provided
• New graduates will not be considered for this position
• Time off requests are limited to 7 days or fewer
• Orientation schedule will vary based on department

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Non-Invasive Cardiology Technology program
• Minimum of 2 years of cardiac experience in a large hospital setting
• Current RDCS certification through ARDMS
• Current BLS certification
• Strong knowledge of electrocardiography, arrhythmias, conduction disturbances, and sterile technique
• Proficiency using defibrillator and crash cart
• Ability to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
• Experience working with adult and critically ill patients
• License required if applicable
