Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med/Surg RN for a Medicine Stepdown unit with active MA RN license and MS/Tele experience required.
Responsibilities
- Position is in a Medicine Stepdown Intermediate unit within a hospital setting
- Care for medical-surgical patients requiring stepdown and telemetry monitoring
- Work involves day/night rotation with every other weekend required
- Utilizes Epic charting system; prior Epic experience preferred
- Multiple openings available for a 13-week assignment
- Responsible for providing nursing care to patients in a stepdown/telemetry setting
- Must be able to work both day and night shifts as assigned, including every other weekend
- Local candidates must live at least 60 miles from the facility; pay rate adjusted accordingly
- Parking is not validated; public transportation or paid parking options are available
- Two professional references are required for consideration
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required at the time of consideration; no pending or conditional licenses accepted
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg and telemetry experience required
- Certifications must be American Heart Association (AHA) only
- Experience with Epic EMR preferred
- Proof of flu vaccination is required without exemptions
