Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least 1 year of recent inpatient hospital experience and active MN license for an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Work in an inpatient acute care setting with exposure to a wide range of adult diagnoses
• Typical caseload is approximately 30-40 patients
• M-F, day shift schedule with 8-hour shifts and no call or weekend requirements
• Potential to float to outpatient therapy if needed
• Use of Epic EMR for documentation; experience preferred
• Trauma level 3 hospital environment
• Primary responsibilities include evaluation and treatment of a variety of adult diagnoses in an acute hospital setting
• 1:1 orientation for Epic and department-specific procedures, plus computer-based organizational orientation
• Team-based work environment; will not work alone
• Scrub or business casual dress code with charcoal grey, ceil blue, khaki, or chocolate brown
• All clinicians must badge in and out at facility
• Candidates living within 80 miles are considered local and subject to a rate adjustment
• Prior employment at the facility must be disclosed and there must be at least a 6-month break before consideration

Requirements

• Active MN state Occupational Therapy license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification from AHA required
• Minimum 1 year of recent inpatient hospital OT experience within the past 3 years
• Experience working with general deconditioning, total joint replacement, post-op ortho, some neuro diagnoses, and general med-surg adult patients
• Willingness to float to outpatient therapy as needed
