Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position in California requiring a CA RN license, 3 years of recent experience, and multiple advanced certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care hospital Labor and Delivery unit
• Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00, three shifts per week
• Care for laboring mothers with responsibility for both mother and newborns as needed
• May be required to float to the Mother Baby unit and between facilities within the state
• Charting is performed using Epic EMR and experience with Epic is required
• Weekend shifts may be required depending on contract length
• Role involves providing comprehensive care and support to laboring mothers and newborns
• No on-call requirement
• Returning permanent staff must have a minimum 3-month separation before returning as a traveler
• Candidates must not reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Flexibility required to float between facilities within the state as operationally necessary
• Any requested time off must be disclosed with initial application for consideration
• No specific dress code for scrubs; any color is permitted

Requirements

• Active California RN license required, must be in hand at time of application
• Minimum of 3 years recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience required
• Certifications required: ACLS, Advanced AWHONN, BCLS, NRP
• Precepting skills preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• First time travelers are accepted
