Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with heavy orthopedic experience and the ability to circulate in multiple surgical specialties.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Operating Room of a hospital setting
• Required to circulate in orthopedic, spine, robotics, and general surgery cases
• Three 12-hour day shifts per week with block scheduling available
• Call required and rotating weekend shifts
• Epic EMR is used; Epic experience is preferred
• Locals within 50 miles are not accepted
• Main duties include circulating in a variety of surgical specialties, with a focus on orthopedics
• No travel pairs or groups will be considered
• First-time travelers will be considered
• No more than three days of requested time off will be automatically approved, and no time off is allowed during the first week of orientation

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact state RN license required
• At least 1-2 years of recent Operating Room experience with heavy orthopedics
• Ability to circulate in orthopedic, spine, robotics, and general surgical cases
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Former permanent staff must be gone at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
