Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with strong orthopedic experience and Epic charting proficiency for a day shift position.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Operating Room within a hospital setting
• Heavy focus on orthopedics, spine, robotics, and general surgery cases
• Circulating duties across multiple specialties with an emphasis on orthopedics
• Three 12-hour day shifts with block scheduling available
• Rotating weekends and call coverage required
• Uses Epic EMR; prior Epic experience preferred
• No travel pairs or groups are accepted for this position
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify
• Former permanent staff must have been gone for at least 1 year before being considered as a traveler
• No more than 3 days of requested time off will be auto-approved; no time off permitted during the first week of orientation
• First-time travelers will be considered based on unit needs
• Holiday coverage may be required per department schedule

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 1 year recent OR RN experience required; 1-2 years strongly preferred
• Significant orthopedic circulating experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Epic charting experience preferred
