Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring a compact RN license, 2 years of MS/Tele experience, and ACLS/BLS/NIH certs.

Responsibilities

• Work in a short-term acute care hospital within the Med/Surg Tele unit
• Patient ratios are typically 1:5-6
• Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital environment
• Utilizes Epic for charting
• Day shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:00
• Every other weekend is required
• Floating to like units within scope of practice required
• On-call is not required
• First time travelers are accepted for this assignment
• Royal blue and white scrubs are required
• Holiday coverage may be required based on facility need
• RTO requests are at manager's discretion and must be submitted with application

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele nursing experience
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Cannot live within 50 miles of the facility
• Former staff must be gone at least 1 year to return as a traveler
• System allows only 2 consecutive contracts before a 6-month break is required
