Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room travel position requiring an active KY or compact RN license and recent OR experience.

Responsibilities

Work in the Operating Room (Surgery department) of a hospital setting
Day shifts from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm
13-week contract assignment
Care for surgical patients in a high-acuity environment
Provide perioperative care including pre, intra, and post-operative nursing
All RNs are required to complete mandatory CPI modules, which may be done onsite
Candidates with unexplained work history gaps of 3 months or more will need to provide justification
Holiday and weekend shifts may be required as scheduled
First-time travelers are not restricted from consideration

Requirements

Active KY or compact RN license with no disciplinary actions
At least 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience
Current AHA certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required at the time of consideration
Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification required; may be completed onsite
COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations are mandatory
U.S. Social Security Number required for consideration
Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility (no local travelers accepted)
