Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) with acute care experience and ASHA CCC-SLP certification to join a hospital float pool.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care hospital setting as part of a float pool
• Assignments may involve floating between multiple facilities within the health system as staffing needs require
• Inpatient acute care population
• Perform modified barium swallow studies
• Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00am to 4:00pm
• On-call every third weekend from 8:00am to 12:00pm
• Must be able to float between facilities within the health system as needed
• Candidates can expect to work some holidays
• Requests for time off should be kept to a minimum and specified during submission
• Work will remain within the SLP scope of practice unless critical situations arise
• Locals are accepted at the same rate
• Campus is smoke and nicotine free
• Returning staff must have a one year break before returning

Requirements

• Current SLP license in South Carolina (SCLLR) required if applicable
• American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Acute care experience required
• Experience performing modified barium swallow studies
