Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical night shift position requiring a GA or compact RN license and recent med/surg experience in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

Work in a 30-bed Medical/Surgical Dedicated Education Unit in a hospital environment
Patient ratio is 5-6 patients per nurse
Assignment is for 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week
Patient population is mixed Medical/Surgical
No on-call requirement
RNs will provide direct care to med/surg patients and will not be responsible for education of staff or students
Positive attitude and timely performance are expected in this role

Requirements

Active GA or compact RN license required
Minimum of 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience
Experience in a level 1 trauma center or mid-large hospital required
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
