Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist for a day shift position requiring ARDMS certification and an active state license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a critical access hospital ultrasound department
• Day shift schedule of 5x8s, Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm
• On-call required one night per week between Monday and Thursday from 2:00am to 6:00am
• Ultrasound unit has 4 rooms and serves an average daily census of 45
• Patient populations include adult, pediatric, OB, ER, and ICU
• Uses Cerner EMR system
• No floating required outside department
• Perform a comprehensive variety of general, OB/GYN, neonatal, renal/pelvis, small parts, and vascular ultrasound exams
• Responsibilities include studies such as abdominal, appendix, breast, gallbladder, pediatric abdomen/pelvis, OB fetal surveys, neonatal head and heart, and comprehensive vascular procedures
• Dress code allows any solid color scrubs
• Free parking with permit provided during orientation
• Magnet-designated hospital
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Local candidates are welcome with no radius restriction
• Approved RTO ideally should not exceed 5 days

Requirements

• Active ARDMS certification required
• Active state license required (pending license not accepted)
• No minimum experience required
• Preferred experience with PACS, Siemens equipment, and portable studies
• Experience with a wide range of ultrasound procedures and specialties is preferred
• Knowledge of isolation precautions is preferred
• License required if applicable
