Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position requiring an active IL RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and at least one year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Medical Surgical unit
• Patient ratio is 1:6
• Day shifts (3x12 hours), 6:45 to 19:15
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Floating to other units may be required
• Uses Epic for charting
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off is allowed during the assignment
• Vaccination exemption documentation must be submitted within 48 hours of acceptance, if applicable
• Pre-start online modules are required and must be completed prior to the first day
• Block scheduling is not available

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required at the time of consideration—pending licenses are not accepted
• Minimum of 1 year Med/Surg RN experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Must pass EKG strip test at orientation
• Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility
