Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med-Surg Ortho/Spine position with EPIC EMR proficiency and a current NY license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Med-Surg Ortho/Spine unit
• Day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Assignment length is 13 weeks
• Use of Epic EMR is required
• No block scheduling available
• Competency testing required for all MS applicants with less than 2 years of experience; two attempts permitted
• Medical exemptions for flu vaccination must be signed by a licensed professional; no personal or religious exemptions allowed
• Call outs exceeding three during any 13-week period may result in contract termination, and make-up shifts must be completed within 6 weeks
• Paid time off must be requested during the application process
• Travel pairs are not allowed
• Local candidates from specified counties within a 50-mile radius are not eligible

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at the time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med-Surg Ortho/Spine experience required
• Current BLS certification from AHA or RQI required
• Prior Epic EMR experience is mandatory
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• Only US Social Security Numbers accepted
