Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an inpatient rehab position with floating requirements and Epic EMR experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Work in an inpatient rehabilitation setting within a short-term acute care facility
- Typical caseload includes 6 patients in an 8-hour day
- Floating between units within the facility and possibly to other facilities in the state is expected
- Epic EMR is used for charting and Epic experience is required
- Schedule is day shift, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with one regular weekend shift per week
- No on-call duties required
- Responsibilities include providing inpatient rehabilitation therapy and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Scrubs of any color are permitted; scrubs are provided for certain units
- Former staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- Minimal time off is permitted; requests for RTO should be discussed prior to consideration
- Travelers who refuse to float may risk termination of assignment
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- There is no charge for staff parking
- COVID and Flu vaccine documentation may be required
Requirements
- Current Physical Therapy license required if applicable
- Minimum 1 year of recent inpatient rehab PT experience required; 2 years preferred
- IRF (Inpatient Rehab Facility) experience preferred
- At least two supervisory references from the last three years in a comparable specialty
- Epic EMR experience required
- Required certifications and proof of identification must be provided for consideration
