Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery night shift position in California requiring a CA RN license and advanced AWHONN certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care hospital Labor and Delivery unit
• Float to Mother Baby unit and between facilities within the state may be required
• Night shift position with 12-hour shifts (19:00-07:00), three days per week
• Weekend shifts may be required depending on contract length
• No on-call responsibilities
• Epic EMR is used and experience is required
• Candidates must be flexible regarding weekend scheduling and floating requirements
• May be required to float to other facilities within 50 miles or throughout the state
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not live within 50 miles of the facility
• Requested time off must be included at time of application; changes after submission may not be accommodated
• No specific scrub color required
• Free parking is available on-site

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required, no pending licenses accepted
• Minimum of 3 years of Labor and Delivery RN experience required
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Advanced, and Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM)
• Precepting skills preferred
• First-time travelers accepted
• References from two supervisors covering at least one year of employment in the past three years within a comparable specialty required
