Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ED RN for 12-hour night shifts, requiring an AZ or compact RN license and advanced certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital emergency department with an 11-bed Main ED, 6-bed Fast Track, and 7-bed Observation Unit
• Nurses are expected to rotate through all ED areas as well as triage, quick registration, COVID tent, and entry screening
• 12-hour night shifts (7p-7a) with possibility to flex to other shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Schedule follows a typical 7 on, 7 off pattern, alternating between 36 and 48 hours per week
• Occasional floating to other departments based on qualifications and staffing needs
• Nurses are expected to rotate areas daily and may assist with COVID testing or immunization clinics as needed
• Must be flexible as shift assignments and areas of responsibility may change based on departmental needs
• Travelers must attend Monday orientation; missing compliance deadlines may delay start
• A maximum of one week RTO is allowed
• Housing information is available upon request

Requirements

• Active AZ or compact RN license
• Minimum two years recent experience as a RN in the emergency department setting
• Certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS or ENPC, TNCC
• Conscious sedation certification required (may be obtained at facility after hire)
