Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Critical Care Float position in the ICU, requiring a VA or compact RN license and flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities

  • Float among multiple Critical Care Units including SICU, MICU, CCU, and Oncology ICU
  • Units include three 18-bed ICUs and one 6-bed Oncology ICU
  • Patient populations include traumatic injuries, post-surgical patients, neuro, open-heart, medical, cardiac, and critically ill oncology patients
  • All units care for patients with DKA, ETOH withdrawal, and high acuity needs
  • Night shift position with 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • Every other weekend required
  • Holiday coverage may be required
  • Provide high-level critical care to diverse patient populations across multiple ICUs
  • Work closely with interdisciplinary team members within each ICU
  • Flexible scheduling is preferred to accommodate unit needs
  • May be scheduled for holiday coverage as determined by assignment

Requirements

  • Active VA or compact RN license required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • ICU nursing experience required
  • Ability to float between SICU, MICU, CCU, and Oncology ICU units
  • Two professional references required for consideration
  • PDF copy of driver’s license and Social Security number required
