Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring a VA or compact RN license and at least one year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit of a community hospital setting
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00-07:00)
• Uses Epic EMR system; previous Epic experience required
• Cares for adult patients with medical-surgical and telemetry needs
• Locals are accepted at the same rate
• Open to new travelers with at least two years of experience
• Provide nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Must adhere to a drug and tobacco free workplace
• Facility enforces a natural nail policy
• Not allowed to smoke on campus
• All candidates must undergo fingerprinting and cannot begin work until fingerprinting results are complete
• Time-off requests must be included for consideration; holidays off are not guaranteed

Requirements

• Active RN license in VA or compact state
• Minimum 12 months Med/Surg Tele experience required
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing school (diploma, associate, or BSN accepted)
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• BSN preferred
• Candidates must not have been employed by the health system within the previous 6 months
