Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Intermediate Care liver transplant unit with night shifts and Level 1 trauma experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Work in an Intermediate Care (IMC) hospital unit focusing on post-transplant liver care
  • Patient population consists of liver transplant recipients requiring intermediate level care
  • Level 1 trauma center environment
  • Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • Provide intermediate nursing care for post-liver transplant patients
  • Work as part of a team in an expanding liver transplant program
  • Facility is drug, tobacco, and smoke-free
  • Natural nail policy is enforced; artificial nails are not permitted
  • Holiday coverage may be required and is not guaranteed to be off
  • All candidates subject to fingerprint background check prior to start

Requirements

  • Active VA or compact RN license required
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Minimum of 12 months RN experience in an applicable setting, with 2 years preferred
  • Must have recent Level 1 trauma experience
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program (ACEN or CCNE-accredited diploma, Associate’s, or BSN)
  • No prior employment with the facility within the past 12 months
