Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU night shift assignment requiring current MO or compact state licensure and critical pediatric CICU experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Cardiovascular Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at a children's hospital
• Night shift schedule with 36 hours per week (3x12 hour shifts, 19:00-07:00)
• Magnet-designated, teaching hospital with Level I Trauma Center and Level IV NICU
• May float to the cardiac medical-surgical floor if needed
• Cares for pediatric cardiac critical care patients
• Cerner is used for charting, previous experience preferred
• Role includes caring for critically ill pediatric cardiac patients and supporting the cardiac med surg floor as needed
• Team operates within a supportive, multidisciplinary pediatric critical care environment
• Any kid-friendly color or pattern may be worn for scrubs
• Free parking is provided with a permit
• This is a nicotine-free campus and pre-employment nicotine testing is required
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum two years of pediatric CICU/CVPICU nursing experience required
• At least one year of pediatric CICU experience needs to be clearly demonstrated
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS (AHA) certifications required at time of consideration
• Two professional supervisor-level references completed within the past 12 months required
• Date of birth and Social Security number required for consideration
