Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU position requiring recent CICU experience and active MO or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in the CVPICU/CICU at a children's hospital
• Night shift, 36 hours per week, 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:00
• May float to the cardiac med-surg floor to assist with patient care
• Cares for critically ill pediatric cardiovascular patients
• Uses Cerner for charting
• Unit is part of a Magnet, teaching, Level I Trauma Center/Level IV NICU
• Free parking available with a permit
• Provide critical care to pediatric patients in the cardiovascular ICU setting
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Hospital campus is nicotine free and all candidates must test negative for nicotine
• Kid-friendly scrubs or patterns are permitted for this unit
• Team structure includes support from a teaching hospital environment
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate

Requirements

• Active MO or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of pediatric critical care nursing experience
• At least 1 year of recent pediatric CICU experience required
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (American Heart Association), all active at time of consideration
• Two professional references from supervisor level or higher completed within the last 12 months required
• Date of birth and Social Security number must be provided for consideration
• Required documents: Valid state driver’s license, Social Security card, COVID and Flu vaccination records as applicable
