Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least 1 year of experience and an active state license for a role split between acute care and outpatient settings.

Responsibilities

• Position split 50/50 between acute care and outpatient occupational therapy settings
• Day shift, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week
• EPIC EMR is used for documentation
• Role involves patient assessment, treatment, education, and community reintegration
• Responsibilities include cognitive retraining, upper extremity function, assistive equipment, and splinting/positioning mechanics
• Supervise or delegate tasks to students, assistants, and technicians within scope of authority
• Regular reassessment of patient progress and adjustment of treatment plans
• Permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
• Candidates must be able to comply with background check and drug screen requirements prior to start

Requirements

• Current, valid Occupational Therapist state license required if applicable
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited school required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in occupational therapy, preferably in a clinic setting
• Current AHA BLS certification required and must not expire before start date
• Proficiency with EPIC charting system preferred
