Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Critical Care Float Pool position in New York, requiring EPIC experience and a valid NY RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Critical Care Float Pool covering various ICU units in a hospital setting
• Shifts are 12 hours from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• EPIC EMR is utilized and prior experience is required
• No blocked scheduling is allowed
• Competency testing for ICU units is required with up to 2 attempts to pass
• Only medical exemptions for flu vaccination signed by a licensed professional are permitted
• Call outs exceeding 3 in a 13-week period may lead to contract termination and make-up shifts are mandated within 6 weeks
• No local candidates are accepted from Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington Counties if within a 50-mile radius
• Time off requests must be submitted with initial consideration
• Travel pairs are not allowed
• Submission to only one position is permitted

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at the time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years recent ICU experience
• Certification in BLS and ACLS from AHA or RQI required
• Prior EPIC experience is mandatory
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number is required
