Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for a Neuro ICU/SICU position in New York requiring an active NY RN license and Epic EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Surgical and Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (ICU/SICU)
• Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30
• ICU environment caring for surgical and neuroscience patients
• EPIC EMR is used and experience is required
• No blocked scheduling permitted
• Travelers may not work in pairs
• Competency testing must be completed with up to two attempts allowed
• ICU nurses must pass the relevant unit competency test
• No local candidates allowed from specified counties within a 50 mile radius
• RTO must be requested at time of application
• More than 3 call outs in a 13-week period may result in contract termination; make-up shifts must be completed within 6 weeks
• Travelers may only apply to one position at a time

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of application
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience in the relevant specialty
• Current AHA or RQI BLS certification required
• Epic EMR experience is mandatory
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• US SSN is required for consideration; Canadian SIN not accepted
• Flu vaccination required unless a medical exemption is provided by a licensed professional
