Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Critical Care Unit night shift position requiring a current NY RN license and Epic EMR proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the Progressive Critical Care Unit within a hospital setting
• Night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
• Patient care involves progressive care and critical care responsibilities
• Use of Epic EMR is required
• No block scheduling is permitted
• Must not reside within the specified local counties (Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, Washington) within a 50-mile radius
• Competency testing required with two attempts allowed
• More than three call outs in a 13-week period will lead to contract termination; make-up shifts must be completed within six weeks
• RTO (time off) must be requested at application
• Travel pairs are not allowed for this assignment
• Travelers may only apply to one position at this facility per assignment period

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of application
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in progressive/critical care nursing
• Certifications required from AHA or RQI, including BLS and ACLS
• Epic EMR experience is mandatory
• Must provide documentation of a US Social Security Number (Canadian SIN not accepted)
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• Medical exemption for flu vaccination must be signed by a licensed professional
