Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position in an acute care setting, requiring 2+ years of circulator experience and a SD or compact license.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Operating Room of an acute care facility
• Facility is designated as a Critical Access Hospital (CAH)
• Unit consists of 1 OR and 1 procedure room
• Cases include general and scopes, such as appendectomies, hernia repairs, EGD, colonoscopy, C-sections, D&Cs, ectopic pregnancy, and laparoscopic cholecystectomies
• Day shifts, 8 hours (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
• On-call one to two weekends per month and two nights per week in addition to weekends
• Uses Epic EMR
• When called in, the RN will act as the sole circulator and recover patients in PACU
• Orientation includes 8 hours of facility training
• Scrubs are provided in Ceil Blue
• All clinicians are required to badge in and out
• Local candidates within 80 miles are accepted with a different pay rate
• Returning employees must have ended prior employment at Sanford Health at least 6 months before consideration

Requirements

• Active SD or compact RN license
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• 2+ years of circulating nurse experience in the OR required
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
• Must be comfortable recovering own patient when called in; willing to train in PACU/recovery
