Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Surgical Oncology position working night shifts, requiring both Med/Surg and stepdown experience along with ONS/ONCC certification.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital surgical oncology unit caring for a variety of oncology patients
- Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week
- Role includes both stepdown and Med/Surg nursing responsibilities
- Involves administering medication, chemotherapy, and managing IV infusions and blood products
- Responsibilities include monitoring patient responses, documenting interventions, and assisting with minor procedures
- Role requires coordination with physicians, patient education, and delegation to support staff
- Must be able to address the cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
- Fundamentals certification may be accepted
- Dress code and holiday requirements are not specified
Requirements
- Active Oklahoma or compact RN license required
- Minimum of one year RN experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and ACLS certifications from AHA required
- ONS/ONCC certification required
- Experience with chemotherapy and oncology patients is required
- Associate’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Must live more than 50 miles from the facility location

No techs at night, tough 3:1/4:1 ratios, hem/onc but open to all types of patients (also an earring disorder unit now), older facility and rooms are TINY
