Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Surgical Oncology position working night shifts, requiring both Med/Surg and stepdown experience along with ONS/ONCC certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital surgical oncology unit caring for a variety of oncology patients
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week
• Role includes both stepdown and Med/Surg nursing responsibilities
• Involves administering medication, chemotherapy, and managing IV infusions and blood products
• Responsibilities include monitoring patient responses, documenting interventions, and assisting with minor procedures
• Role requires coordination with physicians, patient education, and delegation to support staff
• Must be able to address the cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
• Fundamentals certification may be accepted
• Dress code and holiday requirements are not specified

Requirements

• Active Oklahoma or compact RN license required
• Minimum of one year RN experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and ACLS certifications from AHA required
• ONS/ONCC certification required
• Experience with chemotherapy and oncology patients is required
• Associate’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility location
