Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR Circulating RN with at least 3 years of recent ortho experience, including total joints and AHA ACLS/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the Operating Room (OR) circulating role within an acute care setting
• Primary focus is on orthopedic procedures including total joints using MAKO, arthroscopy, spine, foot and ankle, hand, and ORIF
• Additional cases include general, ENT, GYN, and plastics
• Uses MAKO robotic equipment for ortho procedures
• Charting is completed using Epic EMR
• 11 OR suites and 1 GI suite, handling 30-50 cases per day
• 10-hour day shifts with call
• No floating to other departments required
• Responsibilities include circulating for a variety of surgical procedures with focus on orthopedic surgeries
• Scrubs are provided in ceil blue color
• No weekend shifts or on-call required
• Local candidates living within 80 miles will receive a reduced rate
• Must disclose prior employment with Sanford Health and have a separation of at least 6 months

Requirements

• Active SD or compact state RN license required
• Minimum of 3 years recent OR circulating RN experience, with strong ortho background
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Experience with total joints and arthroscopy procedures required
• Robotics experience required; MAKO experience highly preferred
