Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position in a long-term acute care hospital with Epic charting and rotating weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a long-term acute care hospital setting
• 66 staffed bed facility
• Night shift schedule with four 12-hour shifts per week (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Floating required within scope and between similar units as needed
• Every other weekend required
• Epic EMR in use, prior experience preferred
• Block scheduling not guaranteed
• Locals within a 50-mile radius not accepted
• Responsibilities include providing comprehensive care to medically complex and telemetry patients
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in a 66-bed LTAC facility
• All time off requests must be communicated prior to assignment start and are subject to managerial approval
• Holiday coverage may be required according to department needs

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required prior to consideration
• Previous LTAC and Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
• First-time travelers not accepted
• No pending licenses accepted
• Must have been away for 1 year if previously employed at this facility as a traveler
• System allows a maximum of 2 contracts, after which a 6-month break is required
• Royal blue and white scrubs required
