Job Description

American Traveler seeks an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position at a long-term acute care hospital requiring a current NC or compact RN license and every other weekend availability.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Med/Surg Tele unit within a long-term acute care hospital setting
• Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts (19:00 to 07:00), three shifts per week
• Every other weekend required
• Float within scope or between similar units as needed
• Epic EMR is used in this facility
• Wear royal blue and white scrubs as per dress code
• No on-call responsibilities for this role
• Holiday and time-off requests subject to manager's discretion
• Block scheduling requests considered
• Two professional supervisory references from the past two years required for consideration

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required at time of application
• Previous MS/Tele and LTAC nursing experience required
• First-time travelers are not considered
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
• Return staff must be gone at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Maximum of 2 contracts before a 6-month break is required
