Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry Float position, requiring a WA or compact RN license and strong telemetry experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital setting on Med/Surg and Telemetry float units
- Float regularly between various like units within your skill set
- Patient ratio of 1:5 on both days and nights
- Night shifts of 12 hours with a schedule of 3 or 4 shifts per week
- Every other weekend is required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Epic EMR is used and experience is required
- Responsibilities include providing care to Med/Surg and telemetry patients and adapting to different unit environments as needed
- All travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state as assigned
- A minimum of two supervisory references from the past three years in a comparable setting are required for consideration
- Requested time off exceeding 7 days is discouraged and must be submitted at the time of application
- Local candidates with permanent residence within 50 miles are not eligible for this travel position
- COVID and flu vaccination may be required
- No block scheduling is available at this time
Requirements
- Current WA or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
- Current BCLS certification required
- ACLS, MAB, and NIHSS certifications preferred
- Telemetry experience is required
- Charge nurse experience preferred
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Former perm staff must wait 3 months before returning as a traveler and cannot reside within 50 miles of the facility
