Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry Float position, requiring a WA or compact RN license and strong telemetry experience.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a hospital setting on Med/Surg and Telemetry float units
  • Float regularly between various like units within your skill set
  • Patient ratio of 1:5 on both days and nights
  • Night shifts of 12 hours with a schedule of 3 or 4 shifts per week
  • Every other weekend is required
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Epic EMR is used and experience is required
  • Responsibilities include providing care to Med/Surg and telemetry patients and adapting to different unit environments as needed
  • All travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state as assigned
  • A minimum of two supervisory references from the past three years in a comparable setting are required for consideration
  • Requested time off exceeding 7 days is discouraged and must be submitted at the time of application
  • Local candidates with permanent residence within 50 miles are not eligible for this travel position
  • COVID and flu vaccination may be required
  • No block scheduling is available at this time

Requirements

  • Current WA or compact RN license required
  • Minimum of 2 years Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
  • Current BCLS certification required
  • ACLS, MAB, and NIHSS certifications preferred
  • Telemetry experience is required
  • Charge nurse experience preferred
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Former perm staff must wait 3 months before returning as a traveler and cannot reside within 50 miles of the facility
