Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist/Cardiac Sonographer with 2+ years of adult acute and outpatient echocardiography experience and ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI (RCS) certification.
Responsibilities
- Work in an adult acute care and outpatient cardiac imaging setting
- Procedures include 2-D and 3-D Echo, Bubble Study, Color Doppler, imaging with contrast agents, M-Mode, pharmacologic stress echo, portable studies, RVIT, RVOT, routine studies, TEE, and treadmill stress echo
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM day shifts
- No call requirements
- May float within the Echo Team
- Uses Philips equipment and Epic EMR; Epic experience required
- Not open to first-time travelers
- Locals are not accepted for this position
- May be required to provide a PDF copy of driver’s license and social security number for consideration
- All time-off requests must be included upon application
- Must provide two references for consideration
Requirements
- Current ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI (RCS) certification required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum of 2 years experience in adult acute care and outpatient echocardiography
- Proficiency in Pedolff imaging, using imaging enhancers, sampling hepatic and pulmonary inflow, and independent contrast injection
- Ability to perform complex echocardiographic calculations including diastology, LV strain/LV volume, proximal isovelocity surface area, and Simpson's Rule
- Epic charting experience required
- License required if applicable
