Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift ICU position requiring a current CA RN license and ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the Intensive Care Unit of an acute care, Magnet-designated teaching hospital
  • Level II Trauma Center
  • Night shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00-07:30)
  • Floating within scope required to other ICU or Telemetry units as needed
  • Cerner charting system used; prior experience preferred
  • Weekend shifts are required
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • No block scheduling available
  • Work alongside a multidisciplinary team in a Level II Trauma environment
  • Must submit all time off requests prior to offer; up to 5 days and 1 holiday off permitted
  • Scrub attire should not include camouflage or character patterns
  • Free parking available for staff
  • Holiday coverage required as assigned

Requirements

  • Active CA RN license required at time of submission
  • Minimum of 2 years ICU nursing experience required
  • Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
  • First-time travelers accepted
  • Locals are eligible to apply
