Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a night shift Med/Surg position on an innovation-focused unit, requiring a VA or compact license and at least 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

Work in a 32-bed medical/surgical hospital unit specializing in new technologies and nursing practices
Night shift position with 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Staffing ratio is 1 nurse to 6 patients
Weekend shifts required every other week
Will be scheduled for holiday rotations as needed
Use of Hercules beds and innovative medical equipment
Local candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
Unit is focused on early adoption of new technologies, equipment, and nursing practice models
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Holiday work coverage required according to assignment schedule
Any requested time off must include holiday plans and be documented prior to assignment
Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are not eligible

Requirements

Active VA or compact RN license required at time of application
At least 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience required
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
