Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position in a long-term acute care hospital with every-other-weekend requirements and a 50-mile radius rule.

Responsibilities

• Position is based in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit of a long-term acute care hospital
• Patient population includes both medical-surgical and telemetry cases
• Night shift schedule with four 12-hour shifts per week (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Use of Epic for charting
• Floating between like units within scope may be required
• Every other weekend work is required
• Local candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius
• Responsibilities include providing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients in a long term acute care environment
• Block scheduling requests may be accommodated if possible
• All time-off requests are subject to manager discretion
• Two professional references from supervisors within the past 2 years are required
• RTO (requested time off) restrictions may apply
• Applicants must provide interview availability upon request

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license must be in hand
• Prior Med/Surg Telemetry experience in a similar setting is required
• First-time travelers will not be considered
• Candidates with prior employment at the facility must have at least a 1 year break before returning as a traveler
• A maximum of 2 contracts allowed before requiring a 6-month break
• Royal blue and white scrubs required
