Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an X-Ray Technologist for night shifts who holds an active SCRQSA license and is skilled in acute care, ER, and trauma imaging.
Responsibilities
- Position is based in a hospital acute care setting with exposure to ER, ICU, NICU, PICU, OR, and trauma units
- Night shift schedule of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 6:30pm to 7:00am, with three 12-hour shifts per week
- Floating required to other units/campuses within scope of qualifications per facility policy
- Patient population includes adult and pediatric cases with Level I Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma cases
- Procedures include portable/beside X-ray, OR imaging, trauma, C-arm procedures, and fluoroscopic studies
- Epic EMR experience required
- Independently perform X-ray exams, including trauma, bedside, and fluoroscopic procedures such as barium swallow/esophagram
- Staff may be assigned to different units or campuses according to facility needs, within their competency
- Ability to adapt to different X-ray equipment and complete facility equipment training as needed
- Candidates must be able to work with both adult and pediatric patient populations
- Radius rule applies: Candidates must live 50+ miles from the contracted campus for eligibility; under 50 miles is ineligible
- Requests for RTO or special scheduling must be submitted with application and are subject to approval
Requirements
- Active SCRQSA license required (license required if applicable)
- Current ARRT (R) and BLS certifications required
- Minimum of 2 years experience preferred, 1 year accepted with full-time Level 1 trauma and Children’s Hospital experience and demonstrated OR and fluoroscopic skills
- Level 1 trauma and Children’s Hospital experience mandatory for candidates with only 1 year experience
- Proficiency in all aspects of X-ray imaging, including ER and OR scenarios
- Minimum 1 year of recent Epic EMR experience
- First-time travelers not accepted
- Two professional references required for consideration
