Description

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with at least one year of OR experience and Epic proficiency for a day shift position requiring call in New Hampshire.

Responsibilities

Position is based in a hospital Operating Room setting
Provides perioperative care to patients across the lifespan, including pediatric and adult populations
Performs cases in a wide range of specialties including ortho, neuro, gyn, general, bariatrics, podiatry, urology, vascular, ENT, and plastics
Prioritizes experience with ortho, neuro, podiatry, and cysto procedures
Utilizes specialized equipment such as Cell Saver, rapid transfusion, ACT, glucometer, MAKO, Stealth, Holmium/Lumenis laser, and DaVinci robot
Epic EMR experience required; SBAR communication process in use, with transition to Omnicell
Scheduled for 4x12 hour day shifts (7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.)
Call shifts are required
First-time travelers are encouraged to apply
Care for a diverse surgical patient population including neonate through elderly
Must make up any requested time off by extending the contract
All accepted candidates are subject to the local rate if residing within 50 miles of the facility
No transplant or open heart/interventional cardiology cases required

Requirements

Active NH or compact RN license
Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience
BCLS (AHA or Red Cross) required; ACLS preferred
Experience in ortho, neuro, podiatry, and cysto cases required
Epic EMR experience required
Two professional references required for consideration
Candidates must not have any prior employment at facilities associated with the specified health system
