Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with Level I and ortho total joint scrub and circulate experience, holding a VA or compact license.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Operating Room of a Level I trauma hospital
- Responsibilities include both scrub and circulate roles
- Procedures include orthopedic cases and total joint replacements
- Schedule is Mon 07:00-17:00, Wed 08:00-18:00, and Thurs-Fri 11:00-21:00
- General call responsibility includes 4-6 call shifts within a 6-week period, with two 12-hour weekend call shifts
- Day shifts are 4x10 hours
- Epic experience required for SRO Float Pool and Inpatient Units
- Floating may be required based on clinical experience
- Duties include assisting in surgical procedures and maintaining sterile environments
- Must follow hospital scrub attire policy
- Up to 40 hours of RTO permitted per 13-week contract
- A 50-mile radius rule applies to eligibility
- At least 12 months must pass before returning as a traveler to the facility
- Notify if there are known background check concerns before consideration
Requirements
- Active VA or compact RN license; will accept VA license pending at time of consideration
- Minimum two years of OR RN experience required
- Level I trauma center experience required
- Previous ortho scrub and total joint experience required
- Ability to both scrub and circulate
- Two professional references required
- PDF copies of valid driver’s license and Social Security card needed for consideration
- Relevant certifications must be submitted with application
