Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with Level I and ortho total joint scrub and circulate experience, holding a VA or compact license.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Operating Room of a Level I trauma hospital
• Responsibilities include both scrub and circulate roles
• Procedures include orthopedic cases and total joint replacements
• Schedule is Mon 07:00-17:00, Wed 08:00-18:00, and Thurs-Fri 11:00-21:00
• General call responsibility includes 4-6 call shifts within a 6-week period, with two 12-hour weekend call shifts
• Day shifts are 4x10 hours
• Epic experience required for SRO Float Pool and Inpatient Units
• Floating may be required based on clinical experience
• Duties include assisting in surgical procedures and maintaining sterile environments
• Must follow hospital scrub attire policy
• Up to 40 hours of RTO permitted per 13-week contract
• A 50-mile radius rule applies to eligibility
• At least 12 months must pass before returning as a traveler to the facility
• Notify if there are known background check concerns before consideration

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license; will accept VA license pending at time of consideration
• Minimum two years of OR RN experience required
• Level I trauma center experience required
• Previous ortho scrub and total joint experience required
• Ability to both scrub and circulate
• Two professional references required
• PDF copies of valid driver’s license and Social Security card needed for consideration
• Relevant certifications must be submitted with application
