Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and ARRT and WV state licensure for a 13-week assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in an interventional vascular radiology suite within a Level IV Trauma Center and major teaching hospital
• Typical procedures include peripheral angiography/venography with intervention, EVAR, TEVAR, carotid stenting, neuro-intervention, acute stroke management, and embolization
• Average daily census ranges from 7 to 10 patients
• 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
• On-call rotation required, approximately 8 days per month including every third weekend, with a 30 minute response time
• Floating required for 1 week to a nearby sister facility within 2 miles
• Charting is completed using Cerner EMR
• Responsibilities include accurate monitoring, equipment setup, room circulation, scrubbing, maintaining sterile field, prepping access sites, recognizing life-threatening arrhythmias, and vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
• Blue surgical scrubs are provided by the hospital
• Free parking provided for travelers
• Proof of flu vaccination required during October 1st to March 31st unless documented allergy is provided
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Former perm staff must have at least a 2 year gap before returning as a traveler
• Candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility, with 75–99 miles considered for approval

Requirements

• Active ARRT certification and West Virginia state license required; may submit with pending license but must be active prior to start
• Current BLS certification is required
• At least 1 year of recent experience in interventional radiology required
• Experience with PACS, fluoroscopy (Siemens & ultrasound preferred), and EKG lead placement
• Proficient in sterile technique and infection control
• Vascular Intervention certification preferred
• License required if applicable
