Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications for a day shift assignment in an intensive care setting.

Responsibilities

• Work in an ICU unit providing care to trauma, cardiovascular, stroke, and neuro patients
• Day shift, 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:00
• Every other weekend required
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2
• May float to IMC within scope as needed
• EPIC charting system required
• 13-week assignment term
• Care involves complex clinical scenarios including trauma, cardiovascular, stroke, and neurological cases
• Must provide high level of critical care nursing including rapid assessment and interventions
• Floating to the IMC may be required to meet staffing needs
• Local candidates are accepted at the same bill rate
• Only one request for time off (RTO) will be considered
• No block scheduling is available

Requirements

• Active MD or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years recent ICU experience required, 3 years preferred with strong background
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience with EPIC EMR required
• First-time travelers are not accepted
• Pending licensure accepted for consideration
