Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position requiring a MO or compact RN license and at least one year of recent Med/Surg experience.

Responsibilities

• Work on a 42-bed Medical Surgical unit in a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:30
• Patient ratios are 1:5-6 during the day and 1:6 at night
• Team nursing model is utilized
• Required to work every other weekend
• Requires floating to other units as needed
• Expected to work at least 50% of holidays during the contract
• Cerner EMR is used, but experience with Cerner is not required
• Team nursing structure provides support on each shift
• All requested time off must be specified at time of application for approval
• Local candidates are considered but within a 75-mile radius will receive a reduced rate
• Holiday coverage commitments are required for at least half of contract holidays

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current BLS certification required
• At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Minimum of 2 years overall nursing experience required
• ACLS certification preferred
