Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with a WA or compact license, BLS certification, and strong trauma and robotics experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care hospital Operating Room with 11 surgical suites
• Handles a high volume of 30-40 cases per day including neuro, spine, ortho, vascular, thoracic, general, trauma, gynecology, urology, ENT, robotics, and plastics
• Uses Epic for charting and Epic experience is required
• 10-hour evening shifts (typically 10:30am-9pm, flexing to 12:30pm-11pm), with call and occasional weekend shifts
• Required to take 2-3 call shifts within a 6-week schedule, with a call response time of 20 minutes for trauma and 30 minutes for non-trauma
• Floating required to Walters Surgery as needed
• Scrubbing required for RNs
• Hospital-provided scrubs must be worn
• Unit-specific orientation is provided
• Expected to work as part of a team with charge nurses, managers, and OR techs
• Must be able to respond to call within established timeframes
• Returning candidates who have worked directly for CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity within the last year are not eligible
• Holiday and weekend call coverage may be required

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required at the time of application
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience
• Trauma and DaVinci robotics experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Epic charting system experience is required
• COVID vaccine required
• Ability to provide two professional references: one supervisor from the past 12 months, and one peer or supervisor from the past 3 years
