Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a day shift Emergency Department Short Stay Unit position in New York, requiring EPIC experience and a current NY RN license.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the Emergency Department Short Stay Unit of a hospital
• Day shift schedule from 07:00 to 19:00
• 13-week assignment
• Uses EPIC EMR and prior experience is required
• No blocked scheduling permitted
• Competency testing may be required, with two attempts allowed
• More than three call outs during the contract may result in termination and make-up shifts must be completed within six weeks
• RTO must be requested at time of submission
• No local candidates accepted from Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington counties (50-mile radius rule)
• Travel pairs are not allowed
• Candidates may only be considered for one position at a time

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in the emergency specialty
• Certifications from AHA or RQI (must be current and provided)
• EPIC EMR experience required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number required
• Medical exemption only for flu vaccination, no personal or religious exemptions accepted
