Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Ohio, requiring at least 2 years of PCU experience and an active OH or compact license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting
• Day shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week (7:00–19:30)
• Expected patient ratio is 1:3
• Must work weekdays, some weekends, and rotating holidays
• Floating required to units of equivalent or lower acuity
• Uses EPIC EMR system; experience with EPIC required
• Responsible for providing specialized care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit
• Former employees eligible if separated for at least 6 months
• Current employees are not eligible for travel assignments at the facility
• Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers
• No RTO is permitted from 2/15/26 through 2/28/26 and time-off requests must be included at contract submission
• Urgent fingerprinting process in Ohio must be completed upon contract signing

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license in hand at the time of consideration
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years' recent PCU experience required
• Proficient in IV start and telemetry skills
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Experience with EPIC EMR system required
• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Two professional references required, one must be from a manager, director, or supervisor
