Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Room RN for a variable shift position in Hawaii requiring a HI RN license and advanced certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in the emergency department of a hospital and skilled nursing facility
• Variable 8- or 12-hour shifts scheduled for 80 hours per two-week period
• Manager determines final shift schedule upon arrival
• One on-call shift per roster, with at least one weekend off per roster
• May float to other units according to clinical abilities and administration needs
• Equipment used includes Meditech EMR, Life pack Defibrillators, Braun IV pumps, Philips Monitoring Systems, and Motorola Radio Systems
• Must arrive the Friday prior to assignment start for employee health and HR clearance
• All compliance documents must be completed and uploaded at least one week before start date
• Must bring active HI RN license to employee health/HR appointment
• May be asked to float only to units where clinically competent
• Requested but not mandatory: NCI and Procedural Sedation certifications

Requirements

• Active HI RN license required by assignment start date
• Minimum of 2 years recent ER nursing experience
• Current certifications required: ACLS, PALS, TNCC, BLS, and NIHSS
• Proficient IV skills and experience with Stroke, STEMI, and Trauma activations
• Familiarity with core measures, National Patient Safety Goals, AIDET, and Press Ganey practices
