Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Oncology unit position requiring a NC or compact license, chemotherapy certification, and BLS.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Oncology unit within a hospital setting
- Adult patient population
- Day shift schedule: 8:00am-6:30pm, four days per week (4x10 hours)
- Weekend shifts are required
- On-call required one Saturday per month from 8:00am-1:00pm
- Floating may be required to other units
- Bi-weekly orientation sessions are provided
- Provide oncology nursing care to adult patients
- Royal blue or galaxy blue scrubs are required
- Team-based work environment with support from clinical staff
- Documentation and compliance with credentialing rules must be completed prior to start
- Expect to cover scheduled holidays if assigned
Requirements
- Active NC or compact RN license in hand
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, though less may be considered for difficult-to-fill openings
- Current BLS certification required
- Chemotherapy certification (ONS/ONCC) required
- At least one supervisory reference from within the last year
- Flu vaccine required with no exemptions or declinations permitted
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Locals considered if residing within 75 miles
