Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Oncology unit position requiring a NC or compact license, chemotherapy certification, and BLS.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Oncology unit within a hospital setting
• Adult patient population
• Day shift schedule: 8:00am-6:30pm, four days per week (4x10 hours)
• Weekend shifts are required
• On-call required one Saturday per month from 8:00am-1:00pm
• Floating may be required to other units
• Bi-weekly orientation sessions are provided
• Provide oncology nursing care to adult patients
• Royal blue or galaxy blue scrubs are required
• Team-based work environment with support from clinical staff
• Documentation and compliance with credentialing rules must be completed prior to start
• Expect to cover scheduled holidays if assigned

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license in hand
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, though less may be considered for difficult-to-fill openings
• Current BLS certification required
• Chemotherapy certification (ONS/ONCC) required
• At least one supervisory reference from within the last year
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions or declinations permitted
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Locals considered if residing within 75 miles
